Our protective panels were sucessfully tested by National Certiifed Testing
Laboratories
, Inc.far exceeding Standard Building Code Congress International and Dade
County Florida Hurricane Building Code test protocols PA201, PA202, PA 203 and
DCBCCD PA 201 (Certification No. 98-0430-01). Panels obtained an impact design
pressure rating of 60 psf positive and 55 psf negative (highest tested) when mounted on
twenty-four square foot closable shutter frames. This has the equivalency of wind
pressure of 1,440 lbs positive and 1,320 lbs negative, respectively, over the surface of the
panel area, equating to winds in excess of 216 mph.

Seen in the image above is part of the
actual test with repeated missile impact
strikes shooting a 9 pound 2x4 (7 feet
long) wooden stud at the Hurricane
Panel. The missile was launched from an
air cannon traveling at 50 feet per
second. No damage was incurred and
the panels remained intact and fully
operable.
